On October 27, 2006, Dana McWay and her staff at the Office of the Clerk of Court, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, were presented with the Judge Robert E. Brauer Innovation in Bankruptcy Law Award, for their "above and beyond" service in connection with the enactment of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005.

This award was established in 2005 to recognize ideas and practices that promote the highest standards of excellence in the bankruptcy profession, to encourage creative solutions to bankruptcy problems and to foster the development and advancement of bankruptcy practice in the Eastern District of Missouri. This award honors the service, leadership and intellectual achievements of Judge Robert E. Brauer during his distinguished legal career.
